The Florence Station Garage

The Florence Station Garage, on Via Alamanni beside Santa Maria Novella station, is a central valet garage where “you must leave the car keys with them and they park it for you.” It is well placed — “distinct and wide entrance, much different from other garages in old town” — and convenient if you’re arriving by train-and-car or staying near the station, with a guest citing “€20 for almost six hours” and a “€35” full day, the rate depending on the car. It sits inside the ZTL, so check the access rules, which the garage helps with. The reason it isn’t higher on our list is a billing warning: one driver “were informed the cost would be a maximum of €37 per day,” then “shocked to be charged €80,” after the staff charged their EV “without asking,” and turned “aggressive” when challenged. Most stays are smooth, but agree the price (and any EV charging) in writing before you leave the keys.
